Cartier reading glasses of this quality are rare to find. This particular frame can easily be converted into a smart sunglass.
Societe Cartier was founded in Paris in 1847 by Louis-François Cartier. The company remained under family control until 1964. Cartier is best known for its jewellery and watch designs. This “Panthere” frame gets its name from the “Bestiary” jewellery range, which was created in the 1940s. One of the most important pieces being the Panthere broche made for Wallis Simpson.
Cartier is well known for its connection to royalty and has many Royal Charters from all over the world. Amongst the latest royalty known to favour Cartier is Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, who has been seen wearing a Cartier Ballon Bleu timepiece.
Cartier’s revenue for 2016 was upwards of $6 billion.
